About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 14th Force Support Squadron, located at Outdoor Recreation, within the Community Services Flight on Columbus AFB in Mississippi.
This position is considered Flexible. The position is not guaranteed any hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have physical ability to swim to and rescue swimmers of all ages, including adults, and to administer CPR to adults, children, and infants. Must have an approved current valid nationally recognized certification in Iifeguard, basic first aid, and CPR. WSI certificate is desirable. Must have experience which provides a practical knowledge of instructional and developmental teaching methods in swimming activities, rules and procedures, and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment is desirable. Knowledge of swimming facility rules, work procedures, equipment, and materials to perform standing and recurring tasks. Must be able to Iift and carry 45 pounds and occasionally over with assistance. Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete installation records check, state and a Tier-I background investigation.
