This vacancy is for a GS-0301-12, Command Center Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SECTOR DELAWARE BAY COMMAND CENTER in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania.Requirements:
To qualify at the GS- 12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
- Master-level knowledge of the Coast Guard SAR program and policies, Law Enforcement operations, pollution response, and marine safety programs with at least 2 years of Command Center experience.
- Master-level knowledge of Coast Guard mission systems, such as Rescue 21, SAROPS, or other relevant operational tools with at least 2 years of operational experience.
- Knowledge of CG standard workstation programs including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, desktop publishing, etc., for use in developing correspondence, reports analyses, and disseminating operational information.
- Knowledge of all Coast Guard missions, including SAR, PWCS, Law Enforcement, Maritime Safety, Maritime Mobility, MER, and National Defense with at least 2 years of operational Command Center experience.
- Clear understanding of all applicable CG training requirements for Command Centers and experience in providing and tracking training programs.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
