You will serve as a senior labor and employee relations specialist in the LABOR AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS BRANCH of the HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NSWC Dahlgren Division.The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Requirements:
For the NT-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing expert management advisory services on conduct, performance, or labor-management functions and work practices to address a wide range of issues consistent with Federal employee and labor or employee relations laws and regulations. This includes experience and skill in formal writing, drafting disciplinary letters and grievance responses; facilitating management inquiries; researching and analyzing case law to make recommendations; compiling and synthesizing information, briefing or training others; and communicating effectively with various levels of leadership.For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-09/10 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing management advisory services on conduct, performance, or labor-management functions and work practices. This includes experience and skill in formal writing; drafting disciplinary letters; researching and analyzing case law to make recommendations; compiling and synthesizing information; and communicating effectively with customers.
