This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1508000 , and is part of the 169 OSS, South Carolina Air National Guard.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC):Area of Consideration: This position is open to Area 1 Only.
Area 1: Current permanent employees of the South Carolina Air National Guard. (Note-Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC)
Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Air National Guard.
Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Air National Guard.
Military Grades: 2d Lt/O-1, 1st Lt/O-2, Capt/ O-3, Maj/O-4
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS : This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the operation of the entire intelligence program of the organization and its relation to the national intelligence activity; an understanding of the functions and operations of other intelligence organizations, even though unrelated to their own special fields; familiarity with related nonintelligence activities; broad knowledge of the influence of their specialized field upon foreign areas and peoples in order to adduce probable courses of development and action; knowledge of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world; and the ability to present and argue for a position effectively.
