You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Missons Systems Group, Avionics Engineering Department, Core Avionics Engineering division, Avionics Networks and Datalinks Systems Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DS-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12/13 or pay band DS-05 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Experience with tactical military Internet Protocol (IP) networks and data link systems, including design, integration, test, and sustainment; 2) Ability to serve as a senior technical advisor and mentor, with experience leading or representing technical teams; 3) Expert understanding of tactical IP networking (routing, switching, Quality of Service (QoS), encryption, security) and data link architectures/protocols; 4) Familiarity with military communications standards, spectrum/Radio Frequency (RF) considerations, and systems engineering processes; 5) Troubleshooting and analysis of interoperability and performance issues across complex communications systems; 6) Strong communication skills for technical documentation, briefings, and stakeholder engagement; 7) Developmental Feeder Experience; 8) Hands-on support in design, integration, or testing of military networks/data links with growing expertise under senior supervision; 9) Experience in troubleshooting, system analysis, and preparing draft technical documentation or reports.
