You will serve as a FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR in the FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT of NAVSUBASE KINGSBAY.Requirements:
***This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter II, Inspector II, Fire Instructor I, Driver/Operator-Pumper, HAZMAT Operations and Awareness, and NR EMT. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFAC, or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached copies of your certifications, you will be rated ineligible.***Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting fire safety inspections in a variety of buildings, including industrial, residential, and high-hazard facilities, to identify and correct fire hazards and ensure compliance with National Fire Codes (NFPA), Navy Directives, and local instructions; 2) Developing comprehensive written reports that document inspection findings, mitigation recommendations, risk analyses, and preparing other prevention-related documentation and official correspondence; 3) Applying principles and techniques for fire protection and emergency response to shipboard firefighting; 4) Applying principles and techniques for fire protection and emergency response to nuclear reactor - radiological emergencies; and 5) Applying principles and techniques for fire protection and emergency response to nuclear surety and ordinance emergencies.
