This vacancy is for a GS-0501-9, Supervisory Military Pay System Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, PPC MILITARY ACCOUNTS SUPPORT BRANCH in TOPEKA, Kansas.

Requirements:

To qualify at the GS- 09grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

  • Performing operational oversight and quality assurance for a team member or department.
  • Executing technical audits of military pay and/or personnel records.
  • Conducting organizational research and management studies to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Managing large-scale organizational communication programs to disseminate information within an enterprise across various modalities.

NOTE: Education can be substituted for experience at this grade level if you meet one of the following:


A. Possess a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D in a related field of study,

OR,

B. Have a combination of specialized experience as described above and graduate education (if related). The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for this position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
