You will serve as a Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist (CYBER) in the Hull, Mechanical, and Engineering (HM&E) Boundary Defense Systems Division of NSWC PHILA DIV.The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist managing complex system engineering or software development programs planning/proposing improvements, solutions and strategic life cycle planning. Examples of qualifying experience include: overseeing software development, delivery and system integration. Providing technical expertise to solve problems encountered throughout the software application lifecycle. Providing oversight and direction of cybersecurity requirements, design, development, integration, test and delivery. Directing engineering, operation, troubleshooting and issue resolution of team deliverables. Conducting analyses to identify solutions for technical project and program goals. Leading communications with stakeholders crossing organizational boundaries and collaborate with sponsors; and lead project teams.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
