In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support, Transportation Clerk and Assistant Series, 2102.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-07 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of an extensive body of transportation regulations, methods, and practices, as well as passenger center protocols and procedures, automated transportation systems processing functions, techniques, and capabilities, to perform a wide variety of travel assignments and resolve very broad, complex or sensitive traffic management problems, while managing an entire traffic management program in a complex office environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of an extensive body of transportation regulations, methods, and practices, as well as passenger center protocols and procedures, automated transportation systems processing functions, techniques, and capabilities, to perform a wide variety of travel assignments and resolve very broad, complex or sensitive traffic management problems, while managing an entire traffic management program in a complex office environment.
- Knowledge of transportation entitlements and documentation requirements for foreign and domestic relocation travel for DoD military/civilian personnel and their dependents to arrange commercial, government owned, or contracted domestic and foreign travel in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulation and Joint Federal Travel Regulation, as well as analyze, evaluate, correlate, advise and act on complex inter-service and international traffic management and transportation operations issues.
- Knowledge of contract quality assurance procedures and enforcement, and knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of Transportation Systems its capabilities and how it incorporates transportation requirements, traffic movement and traffic management, along with knowledge of organizational missions, objectives, procedures, and regulatory framework of traffic management programs within which DoD and other federal agencies and industry operates.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information; analyze problem areas; make appropriate judgments and recommendations; evaluate options concerning movement of personnel; initiate solutions; and communicate both orally and in writing, while representing the organization in a professional manner.
- Ability to locate and assemble information for various reports, briefings and conferences.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
