Description:

About the Position: Direct a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program for an organization. Serve as a principal authority, strategic advisor, and advocate for SHARP policies and programs; develop strategic plans and policies to support response and prevention elements of the sexual harassment/assault program and conducts assessments to ensure policy/program effectiveness; prioritize victim care in cases of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and associated retaliatory behaviors.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Need Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Social Science Series 0101 :
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as Psychology, Counseling, Social work, or Human services.
OR
B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing professional advocacy and crisis intervention services for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault; managing sexual harassment/sexual assault cases from initial report through disposition and resolution to ensure regulatory compliance and the health and well-being of victims; maintaining case documentation and data quality in official reporting systems to ensure coordinated care and compliance; and assisting in training and outreach activities to promote awareness, prevention, and understanding of reporting procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
