ou will serve as a You will serve as a Fire Protection Inspector in the Fire and Emergency Services.

Requirements:

***This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Fire Inspector I, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor I, HAZMAT Awareness, HAZMAT Technician, and NR EMT-Basic certifications. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC, or ProBoard to meet the requirement. If you do not possess all of the above certifications you will be rated ineligible.***

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting fire safety training to groups; 2) Eliminating or reducing hazards where the expectancy and potential for severity is high; 3) Inspecting buildings for potential fire hazards (e.g. obstructed exits, presence of combustible materials, etc.); 4) Adapting fire protection/prevention techniques to correct conditions or hazardous situations; and 5) Responding to emergencies to conduct firefighting duties.
