THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (Title 32), Position Description Number D0000000 and is part of the AR ANG 189 LGR SQ, National Guard.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQURED- If you are not currently a member of any military service (Brach/Status), please provide a letter stating intent to join.
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:Experience that provided a general knowledge and under-standing of traffic or transportation programs or operations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience, education, or training, involving the movement of freight or passengers and determining transportation and operating costs. Experience participating in the direction and coordination of traffic management functions. Experience interpreting and providing routine advice on carrier tariffs and related routing guides. Interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges. Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement. Experience in making effective presentations both orally and in writing.
Specialized experience time requirements of 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level apply for two-grade interval work.
