Description:

The typical seasonal period for these positions is May through Nov but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2026.

NOTE: OPM has identified this position as eligible for an exception to the typical 1039 hour season. This exception allows up to 1560 hours which may extend the season dates noted above. See additional information section for details.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
  1. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. (SCREEN OUT)
  2. Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
  3. Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic.
  4. Use of measuring instruments.
  5. Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (includes blueprinting reading).
  6. Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
  7. Knowledge of materials.
