THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a Primary Prevention Specialist (PREV WF) (Title 5) (Permanent), Position Description Number T0029P01 and is part of the VA JFHQ DET HQ, National Guard.

WHO CAN APPLY:

GROUP B - All current Federal Employees (from any agency), all federal re-employable eligible, and/or current Army M-Day and Air DSG within VANG.
GROUP C - All U.S. Citizens.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience, education or training which involves implementing and supporting integrated prevention programs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
  1. Experience serving as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities.
  2. Experience supporting inter- and intra-personal violence prevention efforts and programming.
  3. Experience serving as the liaison for local agencies to promote timely information exchange, coordinate collaborative prevention efforts, and establish resource links and community partnerships.
  4. Experience being responsible for developing and overseeing healthy climate, resiliency, risk reduction activities, trainings, and communication campaigns.
