THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITIONDUTY LOCATION: 103d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), East Granby, CT
AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel, assigned to LRS of the Connecticut Air National Guard.
Area 2: All currently employed full-time Temporary Technician personnel (Tenure 0) and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Air National Guard, assigned to LRS.
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of and understanding of administrative, professional, analytical, or other work relating to traffic or transportation programs or operations. Must be skilled in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following:
- Experience, education, or training performing, administering or supervising technical and analytical work concerned with planning, development and execution of traffic policies and programs.
- Experience interpreting applicable Federal, State and local laws, and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures.
- Experience demonstrating knowledge of transportation requirements and systems for specific geographic areas (International and Continental United States).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of a wide range of traffic management policies, principles and practices as well as an in-depth knowledge of commercial traffic management activities.
- Knowledge of industry practices and procedures and established regulations, requirements, and techniques related to the transportation program.
- Knowledge of organizational practices and activities and skill in applying this knowledge to plan and accomplish a variety of complex work assignments, and the ability to identify, analyze and resolve transportation issues or problems.
- Knowledge of financial/budgetary requirements sufficient to perform monthly reconciliation of all charges associated with the transportation program.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/AFSC. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
You will be required to serve a 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In determining if your employment advances the public interest, we may consider:
- your performance and conduct;
- the needs and interests of the agency;
- whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and
- whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service.
Upon completion of your trial periodyour employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
