Serves as the Environmental Management Manager (Chief) for the Environmental and Health Services at Stennis Space Center. Manages environmental compliance, stewardship, and regulatory engagement across the Center. Directs Center-wide environmental programs, advises leadership on environmental risks and requirements; oversees permitting and audits, and ensures operations meet all federal, state, local, and Agency environmental standards while advancing sustainability and mission readinessRequirements:
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
- Leading environmental programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, and NASA environmental regulations;
- Overseeing environmental audits, permitting, and response actions across an organization or center;
- Developing Center-level environmental policies, strategies, and risk-mitigation plans.
