Description:

This position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL), National Acquisition Center (NAC), Denver Logistics Center (DLC), Supply & Logistics Division. The DLC operates as a Supply Funded retail and wholesale distribution center in the VA. The DLC is an operational arm of OPAL that provides medical equipment, supplies, and services directly to requesting Veterans, VA clinics, and hospitals nationwide.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/17/2026.

Time-In-Grade Requirement : Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
  • For a GS-07 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05.
  • For a GS-09 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07.
  • For a GS-11 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. See the Required Document section below for more information regarding the SF-50s needed to verify time-in-grade.

You may qualify for the GS-07 grade level based on your experience and/or education as described below:
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-05, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Assisting with supply chain activities and the planning/implementation of supply chain and logistics support; assisting with data entry and analysis to identify discrepancies and/or resolution; ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs to prepare and gather information for reports; AND experience with logistics support activities in areas such as acquisition management, procurement, transportation, inventory management/control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, warehouse operations, and/or vendor management OR,
  • Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level, you must have 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement OR,
  • Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond a bachelor's degree.
You may qualify for the GS-09 grade level based on your experience and/or education as described below:
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-07, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Assisting with development of supply chain management activities; assisting with data analysis and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities; experience in warehouse management, inventory storage methods, and shipping and distribution methods; ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs to manage logistics data and generate reports; AND experience with logistics support activities in areas such as acquisition management, procurement, transportation, distribution, inventory management/control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, warehouse operations, and vendor management OR,
  • Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level, you must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR,
  • Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond 1 full year of graduate level education.
You may qualify for the GS-11 grade level based on your experience and/or education as described below:
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-09, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Developing supply chain management activities; analyzing product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes; experience independently performing data analysis and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities; managing stock items to ensure proper storage (clean and organized), prevention of loss or damage, accountability, and accurate inventory management; developing technical requirements for services provided in government contracts; analyzing and evaluating work activities related to the warehousing operation for compliance with regulations, policies, and sound inventory management practices; experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs to manage logistics data and generate reports; AND experience with logistics support activities in areas such as acquisition management, DLS Vista purchasing, budgeting, procurement, transportation, distribution, inventory management/control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, warehouse operations, and vendor management OR,
  • Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level, you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR,
  • Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Note : A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience, must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position, and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
