You will serve as a ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Weapons Control and Integration Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.Requirements:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:As a professional Engineer or Scientist with experience in systems architecture design, development, and integration, demonstrating extensive experience in application and embedded software development for weapon systems and command and control (C2) system software development with an emphasis on interoperability.
Examples of qualifying experience may include:
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of software architectures and solutions to enable secure and reliable data exchange and interoperability between disparate tactical, simulation, training, and weapon control systems and platforms. This includes experience with relevant military standards and protocols
- Directing the development, maintenance, and integration of software applications across diverse platforms including embedded systems, desktop applications, and mobile devices, ensuring adherence to safety requirements
- Providing technical leadership, guidance, and oversight as a key member of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), fostering collaboration and communication across engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
