IT Specialist (PLCYPLN)

Description:

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare.

As a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-14, you will serve as a strategic catalyst between the business and technical development teams for a real-time claims processing system for Original Medicare (OM) claims.

Basic Requirement for the Information Technology Specialist series, GS-2210-14:

4. Problem Solving - identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

AND

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include:

1. Conducting product management and program or administrative analyses to identify healthcare program operational challenges.
2. Creating effective solutions for challenges within a contemporary, agile, IT framework.
3. Using detailed understanding of system workflows and agile systems integration to analyze healthcare claims processing systems. AND
4. Preparing briefs, issue papers, talking points, correspondence, or other written materials for leadership.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
