GS-12: You qualify at the GS-05 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
- Applying and modifying established practices to specific administrative problems which involve many variables
- Conducting independent evaluations of administrative functions and preparing study findings, recommendations, and reports.
- Providing advice on a variety of administrative and management programs and procedures.
- Making agreements and commitments at meetings and during telephone discussions, in accordance with previously received instructions.
- Performing liaison functions with other organizations.
- Effectively presenting an organization's needs and establishing harmonious working relations with various counterparts.
