This position is located at Fort Carson, Colorado.

Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee :

• First Child : 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)
• Second and Subsequent Child : 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)
• Available to CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours).

Requirements:

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

A bachelor's degree or higher which included a major course of study or at least 24 semester hours in physical education

OR

All of the following equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level :

1. At least one year of experience assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive sports and fitness or physical education program which included children and youth. This experience may have been gained in a school/college, community, institutional, or recreational setting.
2. Experience coaching child/youth sports or in training coaches in accordance with nationally-recognized (i.e., NAYS, NYS, NYSCA)requirements.
3. Experience in the delivery of or demonstrated knowledge in the requirements for age-appropriate health and fitness programs for children/youth.
4. Experience working with schools, community organizations, or other partnering organizations to coordinate initiatives for children/youth.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

In addition to meeting one of the requirements above, highly-qualified candidates will possess:

• A bachelor's degree or higher which included a major course of study or at least 24 semester hours in coursework directly related to children or youth (i.e., PE for children, motor skills development, childhood development, early/elementary/secondary education, health/nutrition for children, child/adolescent psychology, etc.)
• OR at least two years of experience directing or assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive sports and fitness or physical education program which included children and youth.

The experience and knowledge listed above MUST be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate.
