You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT in the TRAVEL BRANCH (CODE 615), COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
GS-07Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience implementing policies, laws, and regulations that govern various types of passenger travel.
* Experience documenting deficiencies on areas of noncompliance and making recommendations for action.
* Experience adhering to diverse travel policies, procedures, and laws governing official and unofficial travel for military and civilian personnel, as well as foreign and domestic travel requirements.
* Experience ensuring all the proper documentation is received and submitted through Defense Travel System (DTS).
GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience working in the Defense Travel System (DTS) to perform day-to-day tasks and inputting a range of standard information or adjustments.
* Experience reviewing vouchers as well as analyzing expenses and requested reimbursements to determine if the requests are compliant.
* Experience following travel and transportation regulations for both domestic and international destinations.
* Experience ensuring passport applications are processed in a timely manner to support foreign travel requirements and that government owned passports are returned upon completion of travel.
