You will serve as a Manager in the Software Engineering Branch; Software Engineering & Development Division; Integrated Combat Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. You will serve as Branch Head.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. ND-5 is equivalent to GS-14/15.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 pay band (GS-12 and GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer or Scientist leading teams or projects to manage or coordinate combat systems engineering or integration. Examples of specialized experience may include: (1) providing technical and administrative leadership including strategic planning, overall task coordination, budget administration, and resource management for a branch sized unit; (2) developing and integrating software for current and future combat systems and elements; (3) experience mentoring junior and journey level developers; (4) establishing partnerships with sponsors, customers, and stakeholders; (5) leading through various phases of the software development lifecycle; (6) applying engineering principles and rigor to evaluate software design; (7) experience with multiple programming languages and Operating Systems.
