This position serves as a Materials Handler in the Environmental Management Service (EMS) with the University of Kentucky Medical Center at the US Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, KY.Requirements:
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Comes in contact with employees of all services and must be able to work harmoniously with them. This position requires sound physical condition and ability to interpret oral and written instructions and requirements. Push carts up to 200 pounds. Able to stock storerooms and closets.WORK CONDITIONS: Well lighted, well ventilated area, temperature controlled, and normally indoors. May be required to work outside to load/unload supplies.
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications . For this position, the job element method is used to match what you, the applicant, can do against what the work calls for. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element (WG-2 and higher only; screen-outs are not applicable to WG-1).
