This position serves as the Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for direction and control of logistics planning that includes multiple activities and may include geographically separated areas where no supply chain management personnel are assigned.Requirements:
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must meet have possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal Service, that is directly related to the work of a Logistics Management Specialist and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes, serving as a team lead or senior specialist in supply chain management, assisting with the direction and control of logistics planning; analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes; performing data analysis, and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities. This position requires some degree of specialized knowledge and experience of logistics support activities in areas of acquisition management, purchasing, transportation, distribution, inventory management and control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, and warehouse operations.You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position:

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Requires some physical effort such as standing, sitting, walking, or bending. There are no special physical demands. The work is performed in an office setting involving everyday risks or discomforts. Normal safety precautions are adequate.
