Description:

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is located within the Family Advocacy Program, at the Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic, in Schofield Barracks, HI.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Social Worker (Family Advocacy):
Degree : Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Experience required : To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: interviewing behavioral health patients involved in domestic violence or child maltreatment, obtaining various information (such as legal documents, investigation reports, social services notes, school records, etc.) necessary to make a determination of domestic violence or child maltreatment, preparing required reports and/or notes for behavioral health patients medical records, developing treatment plans, and making recommendations to multi-disciplinary teams. Must have experience in clinical supervision. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Selective Placement Factor: This position requires 2 years of experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse.

Licensure/Certification: A current, valid, and unrestricted MSW State License to practice Clinical Social Work independently from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, Territory, or Jurisdictions is required and must be maintained (LCSW, LCSW-C. LICSW, ETC) IAW AR 40-68.
