Description:

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: : Serve as the Chief of Guards managing workforce protecting physical property, conventional arms and ammunition, and personnel on the installation.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and coordinating the activities of security guards to ensure standards are met; developing and supervising training courses based on regulatory requirements; performing managerial and administrative duties related to security guard force; and recommending selections, promotions, and award actions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
