Description:

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Logistics Department (N4), Logistics Life Cycle Management (N44) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Requirements:

(For GS-13) - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Resume must demonstrate the following specialized experience:

Experience in conducting liaison with Defense Logistics Agency/Navy Weapon System Support item managers and commercial companies to ensure that shore-based spares are identifiable, locatable, ready-for-issue and that applicable certifications/documentation (e.g. American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Coast Guard Inspection certificates, etc) are updated and available for review.

Experience coordinating the availability and delivery of Planned Program Requirement (PPR) and providing forecasted material demands.

Experience communicating both orally and in writing, to address a wide range of audiences from ship's management team (masters, chief engineers, and class managers) to senior government management on fleet configuration and logistics support/readiness issues.
