Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Experience and expert knowledge of specific areas of optical and/or radio astronomy, astrophysics, time scales, numerical analysis, statistics, and computational techniques.
Experience and knowledge with the instrumentation, observing, and data processing techniques required for determination of fundamental positions, motions and distances of selected celestial objects.
Subject matter experts in independently develops and implements original approaches to problems, while incorporating current best practices from the astronomical community.
Experience overseeing and supervising subordinates.
Experience communicating clearly orally and in writing.
Experience in presenting presentations and reports.
