Description:

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the modified DoD Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Requirements:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating experience performing duties and providing analysis related to production control, project management, or a similar role in a shipyard or other heavy industrial environment. 2) Performing supervisory duties with responsibilities for direct oversight, performance management, and mentoring of subordinate staff. 3) Serving as a primary point of contact and coordinating between multiple stakeholders, such as government agencies, contractors, and military commands. 4) Performing duties related to ship overhaul and repair processes, including work specification items and quality assurance. 5) Utilizing scheduling tools and techniques like Gantt charts and PERT/CPM analysis. 6) Performing duties related to historically accurate ship restoration, rigging methods, and compliance with preservation standards. 7) Identifying and resolving issues related to schedules, production, quality, and resources.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
