Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job.The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks:
- Ability to assist with metal repair, fabrication, layout, and structural disassembly/assembly operations
- Skill in the safe use of basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment commonly used in metalworking environments
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, technical manuals, drawings, or sketches with guidance
- Ability to perform measurements, layout, drilling, trimming, deburring, and fitting tasks to support aircraft component repair
- Knowledge of shop safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to learn aircraft-specific repair procedures, materials, and specifications through formal training and on-the-job instruction
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, follow directions, and perform assignments reliably and dependably in a production environment
