Work experience directly related to the duties described above to include the skill and knowledge required:
- Possess sufficient training and experience to perform the duties of a Plumber (Irrigation Systems), including the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of golf course irrigation systems and related equipment, as well as working from plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out the routing, placement, slope, fall, and proper operation of irrigation systems and equipment.
- Possess knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems and pumping stations, as well as the installation and operation of various supply, disposal, and irrigation systems and equipment, including the ability to make necessary adjustments.
- Possess the ability to effectively interpret and apply plans and blueprints, utilize shop mathematics to lay out angles, arcs, and circles, and plan and lay out the installation and modification of various systems and equipment.
- Experience in using tools and equipment such as tapes, rules, hacksaws, hand and power pipe threaders, cutters, and pipe wrenches.
