This position serves as Supply Technician (NX) for the Property Management Division within Lifecycle Management of the Logistics Service in a Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure that non-expandable (NX) supplies and material are distributed to areas serviced by Supply Chain Management.Requirements:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/12/2026.You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
- Specialized Experience: You must have one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal service that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this Supply Technician position. Specialized experience providing equipment and material to clinical and/or administrative areas; scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing, and distributing equipment and related material; utilizing an automated system to maintain equipment records; and answering customer questions regarding non-expandable equipment and materials. OR,
- Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed 4 years of education above high school in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED) OR,
- Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond high school education as described above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position. For the GS-05, only education in excess of 60 semester hours (2 years) is creditable. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED) .
