Description:
You will serve as a Field Operations Manager for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience (ODR&R), Field Operations Center East (FOCE) in Atlanta, GA. This position is responsible for managing the field delivery of the ODR&R disaster loan program to homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes, and private, non-profit organizations at disaster sites.Requirements:
Generally, time in Non-Pay status is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed below.Experience: To receive credit, you should indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. Average work hours should be stated on the resume to quantify each period of work experience or that experience may not be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement if not otherwise verifiable. You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated "Ineligible" for that grade level.
GS-14: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Overseeing, managing, or advising on the day-to-day operations of a disaster or emergency organization/program; AND
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, guidelines and procedures for disaster or emergency operations; AND
- Assessing immediate needs and demands of disasters or emergency situations, planning for immediate and long-term needs, adapting, and applying appropriate mix of resources and skills required to meet the specific needs, AND.
- Acting as spokesperson by making public appearances, preparing presentations, talking points or speeches. AND
- Leading or supervising a large, diverse, fluctuating workforce, assessing staff competency gaps, and devising plans to meet the staffing needs to carry out the work of the organization; AND
- Communicating orally, or representing the organization, in meetings with high level government officials or private sector partners.
