This position is located in the Office of the Inspector General
The supervisor is the Deputy Inspector General.
This position is non-bargaining unit.
This position is subject to NRC security ownership restrictions and Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting and requirements.

Requirements:
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience which has enabled you to provide a wide range of services that support the use of information technology for a major program office to include ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements; preparing an IT budget, procuring hardware and software; managing the full systems development life cycle, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance; designing, implementing and monitoring computer security controls; and communicating intricate ideas, concepts, and plans to non-technical staff and senior executives. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and directives that affect the administration of an IT program and demonstrated ability to proactively manage an IT program for a major program office.
2. Knowledge of the theories, principles, and techniques pertaining to computer security and the laws, regulations, and directives for the secure management of information systems.
3. Knowledge of basic analysis and programming techniques required for development of projects for computer operations.
4. Ability to analyze and solve problems through the use of computer processing of data.
5. Demonstrated ability to determine applicable, cost-effective enhancements and/or changes to major information systems.
6. High degree of skill in written and oral communications in order to explain intricate procedures and present complex ideas, concepts, and plans to non-technical staff, supervisors, and executive level personnel.
