S pecialized Experience : One year of specialized experience assisting in the evaluation of patients; obtaining medical and ocular history, documenting pertinent patient information into electronic medical records; performing visual acuity testing, fitting and ordering of spectacles; and using specialized ophthalmic equipment to aide in the treatment of optometry patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05)
