You will serve as a HR SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT) in the RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT DEPARTMENT of FLEET HRO PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
GS-09Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience applying a wide range of recruitment, staffing and placement concepts, practices, regulations, precedents, and procedures established by Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Department of Defense (DoD), and other agencies.
- Experience utilizing applicable guidance in a variety of pay setting and compensation situations.
- Experience utilizing HR data systems to query, retrieve, and analyze information to complete assignments.
- Experience providing comprehensive HR services to management and employees through organizations services .
- Experience interpreting and applying law, regulations policies, and practices to provide advice and guidance to officials, supervisors, and employees on a variety of HR functions
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience using a wide range of HR specialization concepts, practices, regulations, precedents and procedures, specialist recruiting authorities and strategies
- Experience providing comprehensive HR services to management and employees through organizations services.
- Experience with current HR database systems to query, retrieve and analyze information to complete assignments
- Experience initialing and tracking the processing of Request for Personnel Actions.
- Experience delivering written and verbal research and present findings in the functional areas of Recruitment and Placement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
