Description:

The incumbent operates a fork lift to transport compressed bales of cardboard, magazines, newspapers, books and other materials compressed by a baling machine. The incumbent also receives and unloads incoming vendor shipments and assists with disposal of waste materials.

This position requires a valid D.C. or State driver’s license and a Certificate as a Powered Industrial Truck Operator to operate the Forklift in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178 (l) (6).

  • The ability to independently operate a fork lift to transport materials and receive and unload incoming vendor shipments without more than normal supervision.
