Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE is experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.
WG-10 - Must have at least 18 months of experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Experience in fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines. Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies. Experience in repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment. Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Resume must have complete dates and hours worked per week for each occurrence of both civilian and military employment (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only will result in disqualification. Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Your experience will be evaluated on the basis of duties performed. Your record of experience and/or training must show possession of the following knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position:
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and physical laws governing the behavior of liquids and gases is required. A required knowledge of aircraft pneudraulic systems and equipment used to maintain and check aircraft pneudraulic equipment. Knowledge of aircraft structures and the relationship of aircraft pneudraulic systems to the structure and to other aircraft systems. Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and make necessary adjustments and repairs. Ability to plan work sequence and read and interpret technical orders, manufacturers' specification manuals, schematics, etc. Ability to use hand tools, jigs, and fixtures and skill in operating special tools is required.
