Description:

As a Human Resources Specialist (Outreach and Special Programs) at the GS-0201-14 level, you will be part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Recruitment and Executive Resources Division, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. If selected, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing outreach initiatives and special programs. Serving as the Pathways Program Officer, and the Selective Placement Program Coordinator

Requirements:

To Qualify for the GS-14: You must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as having expert experience in: Managing the Agency's Executive Schedule, Senior Executive Service, Senior Level, Schedule C, Schedule A, and other key staff across the agency. Establishing and implementing procedures to govern the operation of Executive Resources Board (ERB) and the Performance Review Board (PRB). Leading the development and implementation of outreach and special programs that support an agency's policy objectives. Serving as a senior policy advisor by delivering authoritative briefings and public presentations to executives, leadership, external stakeholders, and applicants. Analyzing and interpreting laws, regulations, and agency guidance to inform outreach strategy; stakeholder engagement, and strategic initiatives.

Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One (1) year at the GS-13 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS- 14 level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
