About the Position: The position is located at the US Army Centralized Allergen Extract Laboratory (Kimbrough, Ft Meade) in Silver Spring, Maryland. Primary responsibilities involve processing and formulation of patient allergen extract immunotherapy vaccines and diagnostic skin testing products using strict aseptic technique and infection control procedures. The work is performed in a laboratory environment involving the use of laminar airflow hoods.This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes following physician orders to administer patient care, calculating and drawing up medication dosage for administration according to physician orders, educating patient and/or their family members on clinic procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Preferred, not required - experience working in a pharmacy, immunization clinic or clinical setting and/or knowledge of aseptic technique, sterility testing, and infection control procedures as related to sharps and sharps containers.
