About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Rucker, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Rucker is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement:
A. You must possess a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.
OR
B. A combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described above.
In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: To qualify based on experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which includes 1) providing authoritative guidance covering training support goals, functions and requirements of a directorate 2) planning, administering and managing program execution of an organization's mission requirements 3) applying current technical knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of simulation training exercises 4) preparing annual budget expenditures for a directorate 5) communicating orally and in writing with Commanding and Senior Executive Officers at the highest levels. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the Federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
