Description:

This position is part of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Pit Production Modernization (NA-191). A successful candidate will serve as a Program Analyst in NNSA's Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs and will be responsible for extensive knowledge and expert understanding of program management principles, policies, laws, regulations, and procedures to perform analytical and/or administrative staff assignments of exceptional scope and difficulty.

Requirements:

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band level or GS grade level (EN-03 or GS-13) in the Federal Service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as: applying analytical support and program oversight for NNSA. Possess knowledge and skill in the application of qualitative and quantitative program evaluation methods, concepts, principles, and related administrative laws, and regulations; and the understanding of financial and budget relationships between other major Federal agencies and/or interagency programs.

Examples of specialized experience:

1. Provide expert advice and guidance to senior program, project, or field site managers and their staffs.
2. Experience leading national security related programs.
3. Effectively communicating highly complex, sensitive issues.
