The incumbent serves as a Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) in Nutrition and Food Service. S/he works at a two-divisional teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Kentucky Medical Center at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center. Lexington, KY. Incumbent will rotate between both of the locations for the two divisions (Cooper Drive Division and Leestown Road Division).Requirements:

Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. Note : A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Work requires constant lifting and moving heavy objects from moderate (45 pounds) to heavy (50 pounds); bending and stooping; constant walking and standing; pushing food conveyors, carts and other equipment that may weigh up to 600 pounds. Work is subject to pressure in completing assignments in accordance with a close time schedule. May be required to operate portable pallet jack, and lift portable docks and operate battery-powered tuggers used to pull food carts. In-charge of operating motor vehicle weighing up to 23,999 pounds and sitting for periods of time.
