The Transportation Assistant serves as a Transportation Coordinator within the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. The position provides coordination and support for Veteran transportation services, including scheduling, data tracking, workload forecasting, and program support. The incumbent works closely with VTS leadership and clinical staff to support efficient transportation operations and ensure timely, quality service to Veterans.Requirements:
Applicant(s) must meet at least one of the following minimum qualification requirements:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-6: Requires at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal Service, that is directly related to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Transportation Assistant. Qualifying specialized experience includes preparing written instructions and a variety of correspondence; performing data entry into an automated system; scheduling appointments and admissions; collecting, compiling, and tracking of data; and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures. This experience must be detailed in your resume to receive credit.
