The position is located within the NAVFAC MIDLANT Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) which is a branch of the NAVFAC MIDLANT Integrated Solid Waste Management Program. The purpose of this position is to perform Front End Loader and other heavy equipment operation in support of the NAVFAC MIDLANT QRP.Requirements:

Skill and knowledge of governing rules, regulations and maintenance requirements sufficient to operate the heavy construction equipment and forklift. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
Ability to comply with established safety, environmental and equipment use requirements.
Must be able to operate tractor with attachment of the front end loader; requires good hand, foot and eye coordination to control precise movements of tractor and the attachment in lifting and positioning heavy objects.
Must be able to operate large construction type front end loader to preform loading of dump trucks, etc., requires skill and ability to operate and position both equipment and load (including simultaneous positioning of equipment and bucket).
Must have skill and ability to maintain the extension of attachment of the tractor and extension of the bucket of the front end loader in such a manner to keep the equipment center of gravity within safe operating limits considering load and its effect on total vehicle to prevent tipping or similar accidents.
