As a MISSION SUPPORT ASSISTANT , you will maintain tracking systems, procure routine equipment and services, and maintain office files and records.

Requirements:

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/30/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 01/30/2026
GS-05: You qualify at the GS-05 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
  • Using computer software such as spreadsheets, databases, or word processing;
  • Routing office support materials to the appropriate person or location;
  • Interacting with customers;
  • Collecting or distributing information related to workflow and office procedures.
OR
  • You may substitute successful completion of 4 years above high school for the experience required at the GS-05 grade level. This education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university. One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.
GS-06: You qualify at the GS-06 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
  • Reviewing forms or other documents for completeness;
  • Compiling or updating data on spreadsheets;
  • Maintaining office files, records, or databases;
  • Interacting with customers to respond to inquiries or provide information.
GS-07: You qualify at the GS-07 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-06 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
  • Maintaining files or records and resolving discrepancies;
  • Partnering with managers or employees to resolve clerical challenges;
  • Using various systems to prepare reports;
  • Recommending solutions to administrative problems.
