Description:

As part of the Operations and Administration Division, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the agency's Cybersecurity Zero Trust Strategy and Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework which includes installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity tools. The role requires extensive hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services, device management, and modern security tools to support a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.

Requirements:

Applicants qualify for this position if they meet the minimum qualification of performing at least one year of demonstrated specialized experience that is equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the federal government:
  • Supporting Azure and M365 cloud services and identity management.
  • Administering Intune for device configuration and compliance.
  • Providing technical support and configuration for Crestron or similar A/V systems.
  • Developing or maintaining PowerShell scripts to automate IT tasks.
  • Administering Meraki WiFi networks or comparable cloud-managed networking tools.
  • Supporting cybersecurity operations with platforms such as Qualys, CrowdStrike, Lookout, or similar tools.
  • Working within a small or micro federal agency, requiring multi-role responsibilities, adaptability, and independent problem-solving.
Applicants will also be assessed on their IT related experience as it relates to each of the five competencies listed below.

  4. Oral Communication - Expresses information (e.g., ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (e.g., technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  5. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
