This is a temporary promotion, not to exceed four years, job opportunity which is located in the Office of Commissioner Trusty, within the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) located in Washington, DC.

Relocation expenses will not be paid .

Specialized Experience: In order to be deemed as qualified applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following:

  1. Receiving visitors and answering telephone calls from a diverse group of individuals (e.g., congressional staff, representatives of international organizations and/or foreign governments, other high-ranking government and industry officials);
  2. Responding to inquiries on a wide range of topics from a wide variety of individuals within and outside the organization;
  3. Maintaining appointment schedules, and arranging conferences, events, and meetings for a high level official (e.g., top agency official, executive, CEO) and their staff;
  4. Maintaining filing systems and automated tracking systems; and
  5. Preparing travel documents for domestic and international travel.


PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
