Description:

This vacancy is for a WG-4204-10, Pipefitter located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Logcom, Base Cape Cod, Facilities Engineering Department in Buzzards Bay, MA.

Requirements:

Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to perform the duties of the position rather than the length of experience. Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope, and quality of all experience and training, regardless of where or how acquired.

Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements:

1. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision.
2. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading).
3. Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment.
4. Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc.
5. Measurement and Layout.
6. Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic).
7. Troubleshooting.
